Changes
What has changed from one version to the next — described in a way that a viewer would notice. The app downloads new versions automatically.
Version 1.19.334
2026-10-20
If your provider changes an address, the others stay
When your provider replaces a server address, the app now swaps exactly that one, in every line and in its place. The other addresses, their switches, user name and password stay. Until now the new address became the main URL of the line currently loaded, and that line’s extra URLs were dropped.
Version 1.19.333
2026-10-19
More devices: your provider or Ovemio
Some providers initially enable only one or two devices with a licence and unlock the others themselves. When the enabled slots are taken, the app now names the provider who can give you more devices and does not offer a purchase from Ovemio. Buying an extra slot for €3.99 is only offered once all three slots of the licence are enabled and in use.
Version 1.19.332
2026-10-19
Choose lines with checkmarks, also on PC and phone
Under Login details every line now has a checkmark. Checked lines appear as main categories in the bar, several at once; by default all are checked. Which one is currently loaded is shown to the right. Until now there was a selection where exactly one line was always marked. On PC and phone the bar sits at the bottom, and there you could not switch between lines at all without going into the login details. Now there is a button for each checked line above that bar. On the TV a line opens up again when you choose it: its Live TV, movies and series appear below it.
Version 1.19.331
2026-10-19
Every line with Live TV, movies and series in the sidebar
If you have set up two or three lines, the sidebar now shows each of them with its name and, below it, its Live TV, movies and series. If you choose Movies under the second line, the app loads that line and opens its movies. Only the line you are currently in is loaded. Until now the three sections only appeared under the loaded line, and you first had to switch the display on in the profile. From two lines on it is now on by default. You can switch it off in the profile under “Manage main categories”.
Version 1.19.330
2026-10-16
Download progress in percent
While a film or an episode is downloading, the download button shows how far along it is: a number in a ring, for example 42%. If the download is still waiting for the previous one or the server does not report a size, the ring spins without a number. Until now you could only see the progress under Recordings. If you open the page again later, the button keeps showing the running download. For an episode, a second press now asks whether you want to cancel instead of downloading it a second time.
Quality in Live TV with the remote
In the “Choose quality” window, the remote could not reach the checkmarks that take a level out of automatic switching. Now Right on an entry leads to its checkmark.
More in your language
Catch-up, renaming a playlist, the buttons for moving categories, the MAC address field and the messages for recordings and downloads were in German in every language. They are now translated.
Version 1.19.329
2026-10-16
Access data from the phone to the box number
The box now also accepts access data from the phone that is sent with its box number, as long as it is showing that number. Until now only setups from the provider arrived there; whatever a phone sent under the box number was left lying.
Pair via phone in apps with their own name
Apps that a wholesale partner builds with fixed server addresses were missing “Pair via phone”. It is back in the setup and under Access data. There, user name and password are taken over; the addresses stay those of the provider.
Version 1.19.328
2026-10-15
Tile look: switch profile
The bottom right now says “Switch profile”. With several profiles it opens the profile picker, with only one it opens profile management, where you add more. The previous “Profiles” tile is gone; it only led to the settings. The bottom row is now More, Settings, Switch profile.
Tiles with one word
Live TV, Movies and Series now carry only their name, without a line below.
Version 1.19.327
2026-10-15
Covers in the tiles
The changing covers in the Movies and Series tiles now sit at the right edge and show their full width; if a cover is too tall, a piece is missing at the bottom instead of left and right. The Series tile also shows covers on a newly set-up device: if no new arrivals have been noted yet, it uses the series with the latest episodes.
Profile colour theme everywhere
The glass surfaces, for example the tiles, used the device’s colour theme even if the profile has its own. Now they follow the profile’s colour theme, like text and background.
Version 1.19.326
2026-10-15
Restore profiles
Settings → Profiles now has “Restore profiles”. The server keeps one state of your profiles per day, plus every state before they suddenly become noticeably fewer. You pick a state, see its profiles and bring back what is missing, with history and favourites. The backup is only opened on your device.
No connection during activation
If the app cannot reach a server during activation, the screen now says so. When transferring via phone it used to say “Waiting for the phone”, even if the device was not online at all. As long as there is no connection, the waiting time does not run.
Two apps on one PC
An app with its own name and Ovemio on the same Windows PC signed each other out as soon as the other was activated. Now they count as two devices and both stay signed in.
Three new colour themes
Colour theme now also offers Nebula (orange on night blue), Cobalt (glowing blue) and Twilight (blue with orange highlights).
Tile look on one screen
The tile look now shows only the six tiles, without a showcase below. The Movies and Series tiles cycle through the covers of new arrivals; this can be switched off in the profile. Text and surfaces now share the same colour, even if the profile has its own colour theme.
Favourites in the channel list
OK on Favourites, Favourites 18+, Continue watching and Saved now jumps into the list like any other category. Down from a channel name lands on the next name instead of the star.
Version 1.19.325
2026-10-15
Apps with their own name: the chosen colour theme applies
In apps that a wholesale partner builds with the app generator, the colour theme chosen there only arrived as long as none was set on the device yet. If one was already there, it stayed, even after a rebuild with a different colour. Now the colour theme from the app generator applies until the customer picks another one in the app.
Name on the start screen, logo on the PC
The start screen in these apps now shows their own name instead of the name of the channel list. On the PC and on tablets, where the sections sit at the bottom, the bottom bar now shows the logo, at the front or at the end depending on the choice in the app generator.
Version 1.19.324
2026-10-15
A new device no longer deletes profiles
Anyone who activated the app on another device with their licence key could lose all profiles on the first start, on that device and on all others. The app read its profiles twice at the same time, took every profile for a duplicate and deleted the supposed copy. This is fixed.
Fetch first, then send
A freshly set up device only has the “Standard” profile. It no longer sends anything to the server before it has fetched the existing profiles from there. Until now it could overwrite the state of all other devices for a few minutes.
Version 1.19.323
2026-10-14
Apps with their own name: licence screen with their own logo
In apps that a wholesale partner builds with the app generator, the licence key screen now shows the partner's logo instead of the Ovemio mark. The sentence above it names the app, for example “Ovemio – MyTV Edition”.
Name and slogan in the footer
At the bottom of the start screen, the profile picker and the licence entry, these apps now show their own name and slogan. If the partner has not entered a slogan, only the name appears. Settings → About still shows Ovemio.
Version 1.19.322
2026-10-14
Apps under their own name: start with just the image
In apps that a bulk buyer builds with the App Generator, the start with a background image now shows only the image, without logo and name on top. The image can start close up and slowly pull back, with sound if wanted, or the app starts with its own intro video. If “Intro” is switched off under Playback, that is dropped too.
Logo and profile button in the sidebar
In these apps the logo sits either at the top of the sidebar with the profile button at its bottom end, or the logo sits small in the bottom right corner with the profile button at the top of the bar.
The chosen font now arrives
The font a bulk buyer chose for the name of their app never reached the app. The name always appeared in the default font. This is fixed.
Version 1.19.321
2026-10-14
Up to ten server addresses per list
Under Account details you can now enter up to nine extra URLs alongside the main URL; until now it was two. “Another extra URL” adds a new field. If the main URL is down for more than 20 seconds, the next one takes over. If that one fails too, the one after it gets its turn after 5 seconds. With 20 seconds for each, ten addresses would have meant up to three minutes without a picture.
Up to three accounts in one step
If your provider sets up the TV box via the box number or a QR code, they can now send up to three accounts, each with its own username and password. Each one becomes a separate list on the TV box. If they send new details later, the app replaces exactly these lists instead of adding new ones next to them. Lists you created yourself stay as they are.
All lists in the sidebar
In your profile's settings, under “Manage main categories”, there is the switch “Show all lines in the sidebar”. When it is on, every list appears with its name in the sidebar, and under the selected one you find its Live TV, movies and series. If you pick a different name, the app switches to that list. The switch applies per profile and takes effect as soon as two lists are set up.
Extra URLs are kept after a restart
If you had several lists, every list that was not playing at the time lost its extra URLs when the app restarted. An address your provider had hidden was visible afterwards. In addition, after switching lists, the fields under Account details still showed the extra URLs of the previous list. Both are fixed.
Subtitles for foreign-language passages
If a film has a subtitle track only for foreign-language passages, in the language of the audio, the app on Android now switches it on by itself. It recognises the track by its flag or by the word “forced” in its name. This only applies as long as no other subtitle is running and you have not chosen anything in the menu. On PC the app already did this.
Version 1.19.320
2026-10-11
The focus has a white frame
Whatever you have just selected with the remote now has a white frame, 4 pixels wide, with a dark outer edge. Until now it was only a tint in the colour of the colour scheme. On tiles in the same shade it was barely visible. The frame applies to all buttons, to the tiles in the settings and to every row of the channel list.
Settings can be opened again
If you had gone further down in the settings and then went back to the sidebar, Right or OK no longer took you back in. Only restarting the app helped. Now the focus lands on the topmost entry that is currently visible.
“Ext. player” no longer opens a browser
On Android, “Ext. player” also offered the browser as a choice, and it showed the film's full address including your login details. Browsers are now excluded there. If no player such as VLC is installed, the button does not appear. On Windows it no longer exists, because Windows always passed the address to the browser.
“Play” stays in its place
On a film's page, the row of buttons shifted sideways as soon as the trailer button had loaded. Anyone who clicked at exactly that moment hit the button next to it. The row now starts on the left, and anything that loads later lines up on the right.
Arabic: arrow keys follow the reading direction
In Arabic, the sidebar is on the right. The arrow keys still worked as in a language read from left to right. Now Right leads into the sidebar and Left into the content. In a grid of tiles, the focus starts on the right-hand tile.
Loading errors in your language
If your provider delivered no categories, every language showed the German sentence “Kategorien konnten nicht geladen werden”. Now it says in your language that the provider delivered no categories, and that you can check your username and password or try again later.
New app icon
The app icon has been redrawn and looks the same on all devices: rings with a play symbol outlined in white.
Version 1.19.319
2026-10-08
Fire TV switches the TV to the film's frame rate
On Fire TV devices, the app now switches the TV to the film's frame rate, for example to 23.976 frames per second instead of 59.94. Until now this only worked if the file stated its frame rate itself, and with many providers it does not. In that case the app now measures it from the first 40 frames. The resolution stays as it is. A 4K TV is never switched to 1080p. When you exit, the app releases the TV again.
Wrong password detected right at setup
When you enter your login for the first time, the app now checks with your provider right away. If the username or password is wrong, this is shown directly below the form. Until now setup carried on anyway, and afterwards all you got was “Categories could not be loaded”. In the settings under Account details, the app already checked before.
Meta Quest
On the Meta Quest, the stick in live full screen now moves one channel on instead of three to five. If you hold it, the next one follows every 0.6 seconds. The same goes for the mouse wheel: if you scroll quickly over several notches, that counts as one channel on. The window opens in 16:9 format, and trailers open directly on YouTube. Embedded, they only showed an error page there.
Texts that were always German are now translated
In the channel list, “Now:” and in the live preview “Next” and “… min left” were in German in every language, as were the hints in the menu for audio track and subtitles when there is nothing to choose. These texts now exist in all 24 languages.
Settings at the very bottom
In the sidebar, “Settings” is now in last place, with “More” directly above it.
Less data sent to our server
Every six hours the app tells our server when your access expires. This message no longer contains your display name. Your name is only sent when you use the support chat yourself. We delete error reports you send us after twelve months.
Version 1.19.318
2026-10-05
User guide with pictures
Under Settings → Help there is now a user guide with screenshots of every section: where to find what and which button does what. The pictures show the app in your language, the TV view on a TV and the phone view on a phone. On ovemio.com/hilfe the same guide is also available as a PDF.
Texts that were always German are now translated
The search screen, the hint below the keyboard for the remote and “OK = Full screen” in the live preview used to be in German in every language. In Arabic this keyboard ran mirrored and the number row started at 0; now it runs from left to right. In Czech, Russian and Ukrainian the setting for automatic start was called “Home page”, and in Hindi “Learn remote keys” was incomplete.
HDR badge in the top left
When a film plays in HDR, the app shows “HDR” in the top left for eight seconds. For this it only reads what the player reports about the picture anyway.
Tablet in portrait: preview above the channel list
If you hold a tablet upright, the live preview is now at the top and the channel list below it. Until now, portrait mode only had the list.
Permission for notifications only when needed
On Android phones and tablets, the app asked right at the first start whether it may send notifications. Now it asks the first time there is a reason, for example when you open the support chat.
Signing out the licence only after confirmation
“Sign the licence out on this device” under Settings → Licences and access → Licence now asks for confirmation. Until now, an accidental press removed the licence from the device immediately.
Minor display errors
On narrow phones, “Settings” in the bottom bar wrapped onto two lines. Below 600 points of width, the bar now shows only the icons; which section is open is shown at the top. When an input field has focus, its border no longer runs through the label. In the sports overview, long names like “Labdarúgás” no longer break in the middle of the word.
Version 1.19.317
2026-10-02
Live TV on Windows and Mac no longer jumps back
On Windows and Mac, the app sometimes mistook a running live image for a black image and then switched to another stream of the same channel. You saw this as a brief dropout with a jump back, on some channels about once a minute. On Windows and Mac, the app does not reliably count how many frames actually reach the screen. So it no longer checks this there. On Android the check remains, because the count is accurate there.
Version 1.19.316
2026-10-02
Films and series start again on Windows and Mac
In 1.19.314 and 1.19.315, the play button for films and series episodes stayed grey on Windows and Mac, and the intro video at app start was missing. When opening, the player registered too early, before it even existed. Live TV was not affected. On Android, it only hit films that ExoPlayer cannot play and for which the app switches to its second player. Because films do not run on Windows and Mac without this version, the update is mandatory.
Version 1.19.315
2026-10-02
Setup, new address and messages from your provider arrive within minutes
If your provider sends your TV box a setup or switches the server address for all of their customers, the app now sees it within 5 minutes, even while the box is running. With 1.19.314 it took up to 30 minutes, and up to six hours for a new address. If you have a licence, the same applies to messages from your provider in the support chat. To do this, the app no longer keeps asking the server, but looks at a small file that the server only changes when there is something for you.
Mac: login details encrypted, remote setup works
Until now, the Mac app could not access the macOS Keychain. Username and password were therefore stored unencrypted in its folder, and your provider could not set up the Mac via remote setup. When 1.19.315 starts for the first time, the app encrypts the stored login details itself, you don't need to do anything.
Version 1.19.314
2026-10-02
Continue watching on another device straight away
If you pause a film or an episode, it ends, or you leave the player, the app sends your position right away. If you open the same film, the same series or the same section on another device, the app fetches it there first. Pause in the living room, carry on in the bedroom at the same spot. Until now this could take up to 15 minutes, because the other devices only checked at that interval. While a film is playing, the app no longer sends anything.
A package from your provider arrives when you switch on
While the box number is showing, a setup from your provider arrives within a few seconds, as before. If the box is already set up, it checks when you switch it on, when you return to the app and otherwise every 30 minutes. Messages in the support chat appear when you switch on, when you return to the app, and immediately in the support section.
The Sports section loads less
Fixtures and scores come compressed from the server, an eighth to a quarter of the previous amount of data. If nothing has changed, the app does not reload them at all. If no match that fits your goal alerts is being played right now, the ticker only checks every 6 minutes instead of every 2.
Version 1.19.313
2026-10-02
Ovemio is now available for the Mac
For Macs with Apple silicon (M1 and newer, macOS 12 or later) there is a DMG file on the home page. Apple has checked it, and the Mac opens it without a warning. Drag Ovemio into the “Applications” folder and you are done. As everywhere, the licence covers three devices, and profiles and Continue watching come along. When there is a new version, the app downloads the file and opens it, and you drag Ovemio onto “Applications” again. The Mac version does not come with a VPN; for that you use the system’s VPN.
Updates install faster and wait until you have finished watching
The app now reuses a version that has already been downloaded and checked, even after a restart. Until now, every new attempt downloaded the whole file of around 75 MB again. Old packages are cleared away at start-up. A mandatory update no longer interrupts a film or a channel: the app waits until nothing is playing and then shows the notice.
The picture size only goes down when frames are really missing
If “Picture size during playback” is set to “Automatic”, the app now first draws the picture in Live TV at full size. It only gets smaller if the TV box is demonstrably dropping frames, and after half an hour the app tries one step larger again. Until now, a low-resolution channel that ran smoothly could cause a later channel with more pixels to be drawn softer for no reason, and it stayed that way.
On a computer the film keeps playing when you enlarge the window
On the Mac, switching to full screen paused the film, and you had to press Play again. On Windows and on the Mac it now keeps playing, even when the window is minimised or not visible at the moment. On a computer, playback only stops when you quit the app.
The TMDB notice is in the app
Under Settings → TMDB add-on, at the very bottom, you will find the TMDB logo and the statement that Ovemio uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. TMDB requires this of every app that shows its data.
Version 1.19.312
2026-09-30
Set goal alerts in your profile, now also in Live TV
In your profile under “Sports – my selection” there is the entry “Goal alerts” with four settings: off, only your favourite clubs, everything in your sports selection, or all live matches. The alert runs as a narrow strip across the top of the picture and disappears after one pass. Until now it only appeared during movies, series and recordings; now it also appears while you watch Live TV. If you had already set up sports or favourite clubs, you get the same alerts as before.
Sports only shows channels that are showing the match
A channel is now listed for a match only if your provider's programme guide names the match in the title or description. Guessed channels and notes such as “Channel not known yet” are gone. If no channel is known, the line stays empty; if one is listed, OK takes you straight there. Tennis has been removed from the Sports overview because there is no data source for it that we are allowed to use in the app.
Live TV starts at Favourites, Movies and Series at “Continue watching”
If you have marked favourite channels, Live TV opens Favourites. Movies and Series open “Continue watching” as soon as you have started something. This applies when the app starts and also when you come back after more than five minutes. If you were only away briefly, you find everything as you left it.
Updates are downloaded in advance
When there is a new version, the app downloads it in the background while nothing is playing. You are only asked about installing once the package has been checked and is on the device, and after “Install now” the installation starts immediately. If you start watching during the download, it stops and tries again later. That way the picture does not stutter.
Remote setup: a locked box shows its number
If a box assigned to a provider is reinstalled, it does not accept any setup until the provider resets it. Until now it showed no number at all in this case. Now the box number is shown, together with a note that the provider has to reset the box.
Version 1.19.311
2026-09-28
Sports: the app finds the channel for a match more reliably
Until now, the Sports overview only showed a channel as certain if the title in the programme guide named both teams, and exactly as they appear in the fixtures, often in English. “Belgium - France” did not match the German “Belgien – Frankreich”, and the app did not read a programme's description at all. Without a match, it guessed two channels that were often wrong, and if several matches were on at the same time, it ended up with “Channel not known yet”. Now it reads the title and the description, compares whole words instead of parts of words and knows the German country names. If the programme guide shows only the competition, the sport or nothing at all at kick-off time, the channel is listed as possible, together with what the guide says is on. Channels that are demonstrably showing a different match at the same time drop out.
Darts shows up in Sports in the evening
Tournaments like the World Grand Prix are listed in our source as a tournament day without a start time. The app treated them as if they began at midnight and removed them from the list in the morning; in the evening, only the next day was visible. Now such a tournament day counts for the whole day, the list shows “Today” without a time, and channels whose programme shows darts in the evening are listed with it.
No more technical messages in the middle of the picture
If the app suspected that a channel was only delivering a black picture, a message such as “VIDEO_DECODING_STALLED” appeared in the picture, even when playback carried on normally, and it did not go away. In such a case the app still switches to another route by itself, but no longer shows any text for it.
Series start at “Continue watching”
If you have started a series, the Series section now opens straight on “Continue watching” instead of the category you chose last. The “Switch profile” entry under “More” is gone; the profile button sits in the bar.
Version 1.19.310
2026-09-28
Straight to TV after setup
When a TV box was freshly set up by remote setup, QR code or by hand, the app used to count your provider’s entire movie list first and then ask whether to load all movie data at once. Until then, a loading screen stayed up. Now it goes straight to TV. The app fetches movie data such as year and genre for each movie you open. If you want everything at once, load it when needed under Settings → Licences and access → Add or change playlist, in the “Movie data” box.
Version 1.19.309
2026-09-28
Extra URLs now come along with remote setup and the QR code
Until now, remote setup and the QR code only transferred the main URL. If you had extra URLs, you had to add them by hand on the TV box. Now all three addresses come along, including the setting “Off”, “Automatic” or “Only this one”.
Old extra URLs no longer stick to a new line
If your TV box was wiped remotely and then set up with a new account, the extra URLs of the old line were still stored, and the app could keep sending requests to their servers. The same applied when a playlist was switched from Xtream to M3U or a portal. Now the extra URLs go with their line. And if the field for the first extra URL was left empty while the second held an address, that address got the empty field’s setting when saving. Every address now keeps its own.
Version 1.19.308
2026-09-26
The TV box has the same name everywhere in every language
In several languages the app called the TV box something different from our website, in French for example “boîtier” instead of “box”, in Spanish “caja”, in Polish “dekoder”. If you looked for a menu item from the help, you found it under a different word. Now the app and the website match, including buttons such as “Transfer to box”. The note on the “Menu on the left (TV mode)” switch still described an older version of the setting in 22 languages and has been translated again. In Arabic it says “right”, because with right-to-left script the bar appears on the right-hand side.
The box number is right under “Licences and access”
The help, the portal and providers send you to Settings → Licences and access for the eight-digit box number. Until now it wasn’t there, but one level further down under “Add or change playlist”. Now it is at the top of the page, directly below the licence. As long as you have it open there, a TV box without a provider accepts its first package.
Version 1.19.307
2026-09-26
Remote setup: a guessed box number is no longer enough
If your TV box doesn’t belong to a provider yet, from this version on it accepts a package only while it shows its eight-digit number on screen, and for up to 15 minutes afterwards. The number appears in setup and under Settings → Licences and access. Until now it was enough to know the number, and it can be found by trial and error. If your provider is setting up your box for the first time, keep the number open until they have finished sending. After that the box belongs to them, and they reach it as usual without you having to do anything. If you set up your account yourself via QR code, nothing changes for you. A TV box with an older version can only be set up for the first time via QR code until it is updated.
For bulk buyers: remote setup only with two-factor sign-in
In BigC and in the portal, remote setup now works only with an approved account and two-factor sign-in switched on. If it is missing, this is now shown beforehand, with a button that leads straight to setting it up. Until now the refusal only came when sending. If BigC looks up a box that isn’t showing its number at the moment, it says so and names the place where the customer opens it.
Sports selection: a click highlights, the checkbox toggles
On the PC, every mouse click on a sport or a country in “Sports – my selection” toggled the tick, even if you only wanted to see what was underneath. Now the click highlights the row, and the column next to it shows its contents. Toggling is done with the checkbox. On the TV, OK toggles as before. On the on-screen keyboard, an arrow past the edge takes you to the other end: left and right within the same row, up and down to the opposite row.
Version 1.19.306
2026-09-26
“Favourites 18+” stays open
If you had opened “Favourites 18+” in Live TV, after a while you ended up back in the normal favourites. On a PC it was often enough to switch briefly to another window and back. The cause was the sync between your devices. It runs every 15 minutes and every time you return to the app, and it reported changes even when there were none. On each of these reports the app rebuilt Live TV, and the rebuild opened the normal favourites, just as at startup. A selected category was hit the same way. On top of that the preview went off, and Movies and Series jumped from “All” to the first category. The sync now reports only what has really changed. And Live TV remembers for each profile which list is open, so that a rebuild opens it again. If you restart the app, it starts with the normal favourites as before.
If a channel sends nothing, the picture no longer stays black forever
Some channels at times deliver neither picture nor sound. The app still treated them as playing, because the player already reported “playing” on opening, before a single byte had arrived. The picture stayed black, with no new attempt and no notice, in one case on a PC for eight minutes. Now only a picture or sound that has actually been decoded counts. If nothing comes after 5 seconds, the app first tries another quality level, if the channel has several. Otherwise it reopens the channel twice, waiting 10 and then 15 seconds. If it stays dark, you see “This channel is not broadcasting in any quality right now.” The app does not ask more often than that, so that a silent channel does not keep your provider busy with requests all night. The preview next to the channel list gives up after 8 seconds without a picture and shows “Preview not possible.” In the archive there is one retry before the app goes back to the live programme. If you have entered extra URLs, a single silent channel no longer switches the whole line: the app first asks the server whether the address itself still answers, and only switches if it stays silent. And a movie or episode that cannot be opened at all now shows an error message instead of a black picture, above all on Windows.
Sports: every league is in the selection, even during a break
Until now the list in “Sports – my selection” was built from the matches of the next eight days. Whatever was on a break was missing. At the end of September that hit the Bundesliga, the 2. Bundesliga and the 3. Liga because of the international matches, plus the DFB-Pokal, which only continues at the end of October. Now every league we collect dates for is in it, and where nothing is scheduled right now, it says so next to it. Darts can be selected again. With 1.19.305 we had hidden sports without dates completely, which was too much. The matches appear as soon as new tournaments are in the schedule. Until then an empty sport shows a sentence instead of a clock that spins endlessly. It also says whether nothing at all is scheduled or just nothing from your selection. Some leagues are now listed under a different name or country, for example DEL2 instead of DEL 2, and competitions across several countries under one shared entry instead of under the host country. Your existing selection moves over to the new names by itself, once. Anything you selected that is not in any schedule is shown at the top of the country column, with its tick set. If you remove the tick, it is gone.
The remote stays in its column, and the selection fits on the phone
In “Sports – my selection”, Up on the top entry of the right column jumped into the country column and scrolled there all the way to the edge. Now Up and Down stay in the column you are in, and the top is the end. Left and Right switch columns. Down on the last entry leads to favourite club and goal alerts. On the phone the page was cut off. There the three steps now come one below the other: the sports to tap, the countries as an expandable list with a search that also finds league names, and the favourite clubs on a page of their own, also with a search.

Remote setup is now secured — please update once
Until now, a TV box could apply a configuration as soon as someone knew its eight-digit number. From this version on, the Ovemio server signs every remote setup, and the TV box checks the signature. Once it has received a signed setup, it no longer accepts one without a signature. For you this means: update the app once, even if you set up your account yourself via QR code. After that, your provider sets up your TV box as usual. Nothing changes about the QR code.
If your TV cuts off the edges, you can now adjust that yourself
Some TVs show the picture slightly larger than it is and cut off a strip all the way round. Buttons went missing with it, such as the menu items at the top right. So after the update the app asks once: “Can you see all four corners?” An arrow points into each corner. If one is missing, select “Adjust margin” and pull a frame out to the edge of what your TV shows. Left and Right make it narrower or wider, Up and Down lower or higher, up to 10% per side. OK saves. Back cancels without changing anything. If you hold OK for one second, the frame jumps back to zero; a short press of OK saves that. After that, menus, buttons, dialog boxes and the control bar in the player stay inside the frame, while a channel or film in full screen still fills the whole screen. You'll find this later under Settings → Screen margin. The margin only applies in TV mode and only to the device you set it on.
The star at the top right is gone, “Favourites” now shows all marked channels
In Live TV, “Favourites” and “Favourites 18+” are in the category list below the TV guide. There, “Favourites” now always shows every channel you have marked, including those from categories you have hidden. Until now, after a start it only held the favourites from the category you were last in, even though the number next to it counted all of them. The star on each channel stays. What's gone is the star at the top right, in Live TV, Movies and Series. Films and series no longer have favourites; for them there is “Watchlist”, directly below “Continue watching”. Anything you had marked there as a favourite is now in “Watchlist” — including what another device with an older version still sends later.
Extra URLs: the switch only happens after 20 seconds of outage, and then for everything
The app is only supposed to jump to an extra URL once the main URL has not answered for 20 seconds in a row. But it counted differently: the ordinary responses of the address in use did not reset the clock, so a dropout an hour earlier plus the next brief hiccup were enough to switch over immediately. Now every response counts. On top of that, after a switch the next channel change, the next film and every reconnect opened the failed address again. Now everything after a switch runs over the address currently in use, including preview, recordings and downloads. An episode that was playing did not switch at all until now. It now behaves like a film and carries on from the same point.
You cancel the extra URLs subscription in the app
If you add the extra URLs after the beta, you'll find a box under Account details headed “Annual subscription for the extra URLs” with the button “Cancel subscription here”. In the second step you choose between regular cancellation at the next possible date and extraordinary cancellation with a reason, and confirm with “Cancel subscription now”. The confirmation comes by email. Nobody can add them before the beta ends on 30 September 2027, so the box only appears after that.
From the kids profile into the settings only with a PIN
Until now, the section bar led straight from a kids profile into the settings, where the age rating, allowed categories and profiles could be changed. Now the app first asks for the PIN of an adult profile; it doesn't matter which one. It stays valid until you leave the settings. If no adult profile has a PIN yet, the settings stay open, otherwise nobody could get in any more. In that case a note at the top says that anyone can change anything in the kids profile, with a button that leads to setting a PIN. If only some adult profiles lack a PIN, the app names them, because through them there is a way into the settings without a PIN. In addition, a profile with a PIN can now only be renamed or deleted with its PIN. Also new is a note when you create a kids profile and on its page: the age limit only works with your own TMDB key, because the app only learns from TMDB from what age a film is approved. Without a key, the kids profile shows no films or series; Live TV keeps running with the allowed categories.
Android: the audio track you choose is now the one that plays
With TS, MP4 and MKV, Android always played the first audio track, no matter which one you had chosen. Subtitles behaved the same way. On top of that, for films and series the menu sometimes claimed there were no other audio tracks once the control bar had been hidden. Both are fixed.
Also
The app now stores the passwords of your VPN accounts encrypted on the device, provided it has a working keystore. “More” now lists every section you haven't put in the bar. Until now the page showed a fixed selection, and anyone who removed Series or Search from the bar, for example, couldn't find them anywhere any more. With the Tiles appearance, the TV shows a small “More” tile for this, to the right of the profiles. Sports now only offers sports that have fixtures; tennis and darts were listed and stayed empty. And the grades of the performance test, from “Very good” to “Weak”, now appear with their explanation in the app's language instead of always in German.

The login details are easier to read now
The addresses were muddled: the server field on top, and below it a box that began with “Main address” and then went straight into the second address. You had to guess which switch belonged to which address. Now every address has its own box with its name, its field and its switch inside — main URL, extra URL 1, extra URL 2. If you only have one address, you only see the first box.
Version 1.19.303

The extra URLs are free until 30 September 2027
In Account details you can now enter two extra URLs alongside the main URL. The feature runs as an open beta and is unlocked for every licence, without you having to do or request anything. Just enter a second address. The beta was originally due to end on 31 December 2026; on 25 September we extended it to 30 September 2027. After that the feature costs €10 a year. We will let you know in good time before anything about this changes.
Same version on every system
For a few hours 1.19.302 was out on Android only — a build we stopped halfway, because switching between several server addresses was meant to work differently from what was described. Android, Windows and both special builds now carry the same number again. Everything from 1.19.302 is included.
The main URL stays the main URL
If you have entered several server addresses, the app does not keep testing them and does not pick one for you. Your first address applies as long as it answers. Only when it fails for more than 20 seconds in a row does the next one step in — and for each of the three addresses you set separately whether it may. Set one to only this one, and the other two switch off.
Version 1.19.302

An address without http:// made the app start grey
Anyone who typed the server address the way a provider writes it down — 185.185.50.135:8080, say — saw nothing but a grey area on Windows after picking a profile, at every start. The reason sits deep: without a scheme in front, the system reads the digits as the name of a transport, and the screen then fails to build. The app now adds the missing http:// itself, including for addresses that are already stored — your settings repair themselves at the next start. Only what really cannot be read is turned away.
Login details are checked before they are accepted
Until now the app accepted every entry and reported success. Whatever did not work afterwards looked like a fault in the app: empty channel list, no explanation. A typo in the port was indistinguishable from an expired account. The app now asks the server before it saves, and tells you what is wrong — server not reachable, or this user is unknown.
Favourites and history now really do reach your other devices
After every change the sync waits a moment, so that not every second of progress is uploaded on its own. But that wait was restarted with every further change — and while a film plays, something is written every five seconds. So the wait never reached its end, and what you had ticked stayed on the device. There is now an upper limit: after two minutes at the latest it is sent, whatever is running. And when you close the app as well.
When you switch playlist, the app says what becomes of your favourites
Favourites remember the provider's channel numbers. Switch to another playlist and those numbers point nowhere — the stars are still there, the channels behind them are not. Instead of letting you find that out yourself, the app now counts and tells you how many of your favourites exist in the new playlist. You then decide whether to keep them and try, or clear them all.
A main URL and two extra URLs for the same playlist
Many providers hand out several addresses for the same account. Until now the app knew exactly one of them; if it failed, that was that, even though the account was fine. Account details now has two more fields — username and password stay the same. Your main address stays the main address: nothing is measured and nothing is compared. If it fails for more than 20 seconds in a row, the next one steps in, even in mid-picture. For each of the three addresses you set separately whether it may step in. You do not need to have the feature unlocked: until 30 September 2027 it is free for every licence, after that it costs €10 a year.
Version 1.19.301

Favourites now sit in the category list
Until now they existed only as a star at the top of the bar. Anyone who did not know about it never found their favourites — and after every start of the app it was switched off again. „Favourites" is now in the category list, right under the TV guide, and it is already selected when you open the app, provided you have ticked any. Below it sits a separate list for channels rated 18+; in a child profile it is not there at all. Open the TV guide from your favourites and it shows exactly those channels.
Unticking now works on every device
Ticking a channel and finding it on the second device — that already worked. Getting rid of it again did not: at the next sync the app fetched it back from the other device, because the old list was still sitting there. From the outside it looked as if the app was undoing what you had done. It now remembers for every entry when it was last touched, and the more recent change wins. The same goes for the watchlist.
Messages in the language the app runs in
When the server said something — subscription expired, all device slots taken, an error report turned away — the sentence appeared in German, whatever language you were using. The app now writes these texts itself, in all 24 languages it knows. If your device runs in a language that is not among them, you get English; before that, the interface could even start in a language you had never chosen.

"Continue watching" is now in one place only
Films and series you had started appeared twice: as a row of their own at the top of every category, and again under "Continue watching" at the very top of the category list. On top of that, since 1.19.294 the app opened straight into that view. So anyone starting the app saw a list with one or two titles where they expected their collection — it looked like a loss, although nothing was missing. Both are undone. The app opens again where you left off, and a category shows what its name says. "Continue watching" is still at the top of the category list whenever you want it.

Trailers from YouTube: ask first, load second
An embedded YouTube player connects to Google the moment it appears on screen — before anyone has pressed play. Your device's IP address goes to Google, and Google may set cookies. That needs consent, and it needs it beforehand. So the app asks once, before it loads the first trailer, and says what happens and who receives the data. Your answer is remembered — a no as well, because otherwise the same question would come up with every trailer. You can change it at any time in the settings under Movie data.

Switching profiles now works on PC and phone too
Since 1.19.293 the switch has sat above the section bar on the TV. On the PC and on the phone there is no such bar — the controls are at the bottom there — so the short route was missing entirely: anyone wanting to switch went via More. Now the picture of the current profile sits at the bottom left, next to Search. One tap opens the same selection as on the TV, including the PIN prompt if the target profile has one. With only one profile, nothing is shown there.

VPN connections now actually work
On Android, the VPN feature never established a single connection. The system libraries it needs were inside the app but were not unpacked during installation — OpenVPN looked for them and found nothing. All that appeared on screen was "error", with nothing happening in between. On top of that, two small things about the stored .ovpn file: if the line break at the end was missing, the program did not read the last certificate to the end; if a block end was stuck to the line before it, the same. Both are now put right before the file is passed on.
When the provider blocks VPN networks
Some providers refuse connections coming from data centre networks — and that is where the servers of practically every VPN service sit. The channel list then did not arrive at all, and the screen said "error while loading". If the VPN is running and the provider turns the request away, the app now says what is behind it, gives the block code and what can be done: a different VPN location, a VPN provider with other networks, or the VPN switched off. Without a running VPN the message stays as before, because a refusal can then have other reasons.
Version 1.19.296

"Next episode" was buried under the control bar
Towards the end of an episode, the button for the next one appears at the bottom right. It sat exactly where the control bar opens up — and the bar covered it. On a computer it could not be hit at all, because the slightest mouse movement brings the bar up; on a television the only remedy was to wait for it to fade. The button now sits above the bar and moves with it when the bar runs to two lines in narrow windows.
VPN: signing in with username and password
If the line "auth-user-pass" is missing from the stored .ovpn file, OpenVPN never asks for a username and password — the app passes both along, but nobody picks them up. From the outside this looks like a wrong password. The line is now added when access details have been entered. If none have been entered, the file stays untouched: in that case a certificate sign-in is meant.
VPN connections can be read up on
When a connection failed, all that appeared was a single word on screen, gone seconds later. The error report now states which access was tried against which server, where it broke off and what stands out about the configuration — a missing server line, a truncated certificate, an empty password. The password itself is not recorded, only whether one has been stored.
Version 1.19.294

VPN: you can now see whether it is running
The VPN screen used to show only what the VPN software claims — and even that only once you had scrolled to the bottom of the page. On a television, almost nobody found it. The state now sits at the top, and below it the address your device actually goes out with. If it differs from the address without VPN, your traffic really does run through the tunnel; if it is the same, the app says so just as plainly. That is the difference between "the software claims it is connected" and "it has been measured".
Enter VPN access only once
Anyone who had stored an .ovpn file had to repeat it on every other device: TV box, phone, computer, each on its own. The accounts now travel the same way as profiles and history, and after a sync they are on all your devices. Deleted stays deleted — a removed account does not come back by way of another device. As with the rest of the sync, the app encrypts the accounts before they go to our server.
Movies and series open on "Resume"
The first time you open them after starting the app, the list on the left is on "Resume" instead of yesterday's category. After that, within the session, it is again wherever you were last. If nothing has been started, everything stays as before.
Version 1.19.293
2026-09-16
One episode without sound, the next one with
On some TV boxes one episode stayed silent, the next one had sound, and the one after that went quiet again. There was no coincidence behind it. The box reports that it can pass the sound through to the television unchanged, and then fails to open the output. The app took this for a fault in the audio track, switched to the second track of the same file, failed in the same way and turned the sound off — which also blocked the one route that would have helped: decoding the sound itself. It now changes the route first and the track afterwards. What it learns about your box in the process applies to the episodes that follow, instead of starting over with each one.
Thin, tinny sound in films with 5.1 audio
The same fault caused a second problem. Once the app had marked the stereo track as broken, it stayed blocked — even after it would have worked again. The film then ran on the 5.1 track, which the box mixes down to two channels, and sounded accordingly. That block is now lifted as soon as the sound takes a different route.
Switching to full screen no longer reloads the film
From the embedded picture to full screen and back: until now the app rebuilt its video surface in the process. What you saw was a brief black moment with more buffering; in fact the film loaded from the start and then jumped to the remembered position. Everything the app had found out about the box's sound was lost along with it. The surface now stays the same, and so does the film.
Switch profiles without leaving the app
Until now the way led through Settings, Profiles, open the profile, set it active — or through a restart. On the television the switch now sits above the section bar, with the picture of the profile in use. On phone, computer and the tile start screen you will find it under "More". Creating, renaming and deleting still happen in the settings: anyone switching over in the evening does not want to walk past a wastebasket. The PIN applies on the short route as well.
Version 1.19.292

Continue watching shows all your series again
Above the series list there were often only one or two series, while the “Continue watching” menu entry showed them all — exactly why customers reported that continue watching did not work. The row compared the provider’s series number, and that changes: when you switch playlist, when the provider renumbers, between two devices. Now the number counts first and the title second, and the row shows the same as the menu entry.
Continue watching jumps to the right place again
The yellow bar was right, but after tapping, the episode started from zero again. When opening, the player first reports “length unknown”, and the app read that as “the episode is shorter than the remembered position” — so, from the start. An unknown length is no longer a reason for that decision. Applies to series and films.
Sport: no more invented darts fixtures
In darts, five matches of the same tournament were shown at the same time, each four hours long, all supposedly on the same channel — while football was running there. The times came from a source that is maintained for football and only drops darts matches into half-hour slots; that source is switched off. And when two presumed channels contradict each other, the app now drops the guess: where two matches are meant to run on one channel at the same time, at most one can be right, and nobody knows which. Then it says “channel not known yet”.
Series: after pausing, playback would not continue
If you paused an episode, you could press play as often as you liked and nothing happened — and leaving the series and coming back did not help either. The fault was in the way the screen was put together: if the season data was missing for a moment, the build broke off, and after that the buttons were still there to see but no longer to use. Fixed.
Recording to a USB stick: the app now says when the folder accepts nothing
If you chose a folder that Android will not let the app write to, you saw a recording running, got “saved successfully” at the end — and found no file. The folder is now checked when you choose it: the app writes a tiny file and clears it away again. If that fails, the folder is not accepted and you are told why; on Android boxes the “All files access” permission is usually missing. A running recording also shows the size of the file instead of what came in from the network, and a recording that cannot write anything now ends with an error instead of sitting under “running” for ever.
Live TV: the small preview no longer stays black
On some TV boxes the preview showed nothing but black the first time; only after making the channel full screen and going back did the small window show a picture too. The app now creates the picture surface before it opens the channel — so the picture has something to appear on.
Control bar: the frame sits visibly on the button
When you call up the control bar with the remote during a film or an episode, the frame now sits on the pause button — and no longer somewhere you have to look for it. The frame itself has become stronger: on the filled buttons of the bar it was hard to see against a bright picture, now every button in focus has a clear edge in your accent colour. That applies throughout the app, in live TV as well. When the bar fades out, the focus goes back to the picture instead of getting lost.
Holding the key winds one minute per second
Hold the key for winding forward or back and playback now moves on in one-minute steps, one per second — the picture shows the step size. Let go and it stops. A short press still jumps one minute; in series it used to be 30 seconds, now it is the same distance as in a film.
Version 1.19.291

Android 15: the app shut itself down after running for a while
On devices with Android 15, the background service that keeps the TV box reachable for remote setup was allowed to run only six hours a day. When that time was up, the system shut the app down — on a Samsung phone that was exactly the crash. The service now stops by itself before it comes to that. Afterwards the device cannot be reached remotely until the app is started again.
You decide which picture levels the app may use
Many channels are offered more than once — in HD, in Full HD, sometimes as an untouched stream. The app switches between those levels when one of them stalls. Which ones it may use is now set in the quality menu at the bottom right: one tick box per level. A level that never runs cleanly with your provider you simply untick, and the app leaves it alone. Untick them all and nothing changes by itself any more — then you pick the level yourself, and your choice survives switching off.
No more on-screen notice when the picture level changes
When the app changed level, a notice sat on the picture for two seconds. At exactly the moment when playback was already struggling. Which level is running is still shown in the button at the bottom right.
Sport: country and league take effect at once
If you changed the country or the league in your profile, you still saw the old list until the next start of the app. It is now rebuilt straight away. Above the list you can also see what it is currently narrowed down to and how many matches are left.
Sport: more matches now name the channel
For the Champions League, the Europa League and the big leagues from England, Spain, Italy and France the list almost always said “No channel known”. The reason sat on our server and not in the app: the matching only covered German competitions. It now covers these as well — and you do not have to update anything for it. The same channel in SD, HD and Full HD also appears once per line instead of three times.
Posters need less memory on small TV boxes
On TV boxes where Android grants an app only 512 MB, Ovemio was close to that limit while you browsed films and series — and sometimes disappeared at the very moment a film started. On those boxes the posters are now decoded smaller, a good third less memory per image, and the app hands them back completely when playback starts. On a large television you can see the difference in the posters.
Version 1.19.290

Categories: clearer names, and both in one place
"Arrange sections" is now called "Manage main categories". The "Categories" item has moved out of the general settings and under Profiles, where it is called "Manage subcategories" — it applies per profile anyway, just like the main categories right above it.
The focus stays on the category while it moves
Moving a category up used to leave the category below it selected: the focus stayed where it was while the entry moved on. Now it travels along. If an entry ends up at the very top or bottom, the focus switches to the direction that is still possible instead of grasping at nothing.
Version 1.19.289
2026-09-09
Sport opens straight away
Jumping into the sport guide took about four seconds: the selection landed on a surface that was not visible at all. Now the first key press lands.
Back out of Sport leads to the main menu again
Anyone who had moved Sport up into the main categories still ended up under "More" when pressing Back. What sits there now follows the bar set in the profile.
Version 1.19.288
2026-09-09
Main menu: there was no way out of live TV
After the main categories were reordered, the bar still showed the old order while the keys were already working with the new one. Pressing down jumped somewhere at random, and movies or series could no longer be reached even though they were right there. Fixed.
Version 1.19.287
2026-09-09
The sport list is usable on a phone
In portrait, less than half the screen width was left for the fixture, because the list of sports sat beside it. On narrow devices it now sits above, and title, league, time and channels use the full width. Nothing changes on the television.
Settings follow the profile, not the device
Anyone changing something on the phone could lose it to the box: syncing transferred whole files, and the newer one won. Now every setting is synced on its own. For resuming playback, the device that played last still counts.
The category order is remembered per section
Sorting the movie categories on the phone also overwrote live TV and series from the box. Now each section remembers its own order.
Version 1.19.286
2026-09-08
The box number now sits right at the top
On the setup screen the eight-digit number for remote setup used to sit below the greeting, the introduction and the note about sources — on a television, often below the edge of the picture. Anyone who does not see it will not read it out to their dealer either. It is now the first thing on the page. That also applies when only the credentials were deleted and the licence stays, which is the common case.
A failed remote setup now says what went wrong
When a dealer sets up a box remotely and the box cannot apply the package, everyone used to see only „not successful“. The reason was known but thrown away. It is now shown on the box's screen, in the log and to the dealer — for instance that all device slots on the licence are taken and a device has to be released first.
The dealer is warned before sending
If the selected licence has no free device slot left, the supporter app says so before anything is sent. In the portal, a full licence now stands out in the list instead of looking like everything else.
Main menu: OK reliably enters the section again
On some TV boxes the main menu stayed put after pressing OK, especially on the settings. In such a case the app tries up to sixteen times — but in fact only the first attempt ever ran, because the app was waiting for a frame that was never drawn while the menu stood still. It now asks for that frame itself.
Version 1.19.278
2026-09-06
Film data now comes entirely from TMDB
Date, age rating and genre are now fetched solely from the film database TMDB, no longer from your provider. Cinema categories and the current year load first, the rest only when needed. That spares the provider and is faster.
Audio: the app decodes AC-3 and E-AC-3 itself
If the TV box cannot decode AC-3 (Dolby Digital) or E-AC-3 (Dolby Digital Plus) itself and no receiver passes it through, the app decodes the audio itself while the picture keeps running on the chip. DTS and TrueHD are left to the box; both are rare in streaming.
Windows: HEVC runs on the graphics chip
On Windows, HEVC video is now decoded only by the graphics chip. If the PC has no suitable decoder, the app stops and says so instead of decoding in the background. All graphics cards since about 2016 can do HEVC.
Source code of the bundled libraries
Ovemio contains FFmpeg and libmpv under the LGPL. The source code of exactly the shipped versions, including build scripts, is now at ovemio.com/quellen; the app’s licence page and the download page link to it.
Version 1.19.277

No more misleading references to a test version
Anyone who had enabled ‘Test versions first’ would have seen the message ‘Test version — not yet released’ for version 1.19.276, even though that version had long since been rolled out to everyone. From now on, a version is only considered a test version if it really hasn’t been released yet.
Version 1.19.276

Live TV runs more smoothly
On Android TV boxes, live TV now uses the same direct video path as films: the picture goes straight to the screen without any detours. On less powerful TV boxes, images used to be discarded even though the buffer was full — that’s no longer the case. If a channel is unable to use this path for a moment, the app automatically re-establishes the connection via the alternative route. The switch for this in the settings is therefore no longer needed and has been removed.
AC-3 and E-AC-3 audio even on TV boxes without their own decoder
Some TV boxes cannot decode AC-3 (Dolby Digital) or E-AC-3 (Dolby Digital Plus) themselves. Previously, the app had to switch the entire playback path to do this, which caused the picture to be lost when playing long films. Now, in such cases, the app processes the audio itself, whilst the picture continues to be processed via the TV box’s chip. First comes the TV or amplifier, then the TV box’s decoder, then the app.
The update notification can be operated
On some TV boxes, a notification about a new version appeared, but pressing ‘OK’ took you to the screen behind it — the only way to dismiss it was to press the ‘OK’ button. Remote setup arrives in seconds
As long as the TV box displays its eight-digit number, it checks every five seconds to see if its retailer has sent anything. Previously, this could take up to one and a half minutes.
The automatic quality control no longer returns to its original position straight away
After four quiet minutes, the app stepped up a level — and a moment later stepped back down again, because it mistook the changeover itself for a glitch. Now each new level is given twelve seconds.
The stock is as large as he says
For channels broadcasting in full HD resolution, only two-thirds of the set buffer was effective because the memory allocated for it was too limited. Now it scales up accordingly.
The playback path recognises the image format
Until now, the app had only decided whether a film could switch playback methods based on the image size, and had to assume the worst-case scenario. Now it knows the actual format of a film — a large film in a format that the TV box handles well will have its playback method switched back.
A guardian for the still image
If a film’s image froze whilst the sound and playback time continued, nobody had noticed until now. Now the app keeps track of whether any more frames are coming through. If they don’t arrive for over a minute, it tries the other playback method — and honestly lets you know if that one doesn’t work either.
Fewer false error reports
If the TV box went into sleep mode, the app used to interpret this as an hour-long period of inactivity when it woke up and would send a report. It now recognises sleep mode. In addition, audio devices (Bluetooth, HDMI, USB) are now logged with the time when they connect or disconnect.
